Shahid Kapoor in 'Kaminey'
Shahid Kapoor's career is quite strong now, considered one of the finer actors in Bollywood. But once upon a time, soon after the sheen of his debut wore off, he had quite a few flops, and was deemed another pretty face. You know, like Sidharth Malhotra. It wasn't he starred in Vishal Bhardwaj's crime drama 'Kaminey', (or what I call, Bollywood's 'Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels') that Kapoor saw a resurgence in his career. And people took him more seriously.
Playing the role of twin brothers, Kapoor played a street thug as one brother, and an innocent musician as the other. The musician brother also had a speech impediment, further separating the two performances. Kapoor was appreciated for showcasing his talent between the two roles, and believably portraying two different people in the same movie.
