Dual roles in Bollywood used to be a pretty common thing that almost every mainstream actor eventually did. Take a quick peak at the filmography of every major star from the 70's to 80's, and you'll find at least a few dual role credits. In some cases, like Amitabh Bachchan's, there's a whole lot more. It's almost like the man had an obsessions dealing with the duality of being a performer. Or something smart like that.
Granted the dual role thing isn't as common these days, which is weird given how much better it could be with the new technology. But this month we see one of the new generation of Bollywood actors in a double role with the release of 'Judwaa 2'. So to celebrate, let's check out some other cool little double roles from recent stars.
Note: When discussing 'dual roles' in this article, I refer to one actor, playing two distinct characters, sharing the same screen space together. Hrithik Roshan in 'Kaaho Na Pyaar Hai' doesn't count as he never appeared on screen with his doppleganger.
Also, the same actor with a lot of makeup, rendered unrecognizable, playing a different character that has nothing to do with the story doesn't count. Disqualifying Saif Ali Khan's 'Happy Ending', as the character of Yogi was just for comic relief, and also (I suspect) a hallucination of the main character.
