A new year of Bollywood movies will soon be upon us. So with that in mind, we'll be discussing some of the movies appearing this month in Bollywood.
This month's Trailer Talk discuss the most hyped releases of January 2017.
'OK Jaanu' - January 13th
Remade from the Tamil film by Mani Ratnam, 'OK Jaanu' is all about a couple living together, who have trouble committing to one another. The trailer itself thoroughly failed to impress me and the story itself feels contrived. Add to that the chemistry between Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor, and the film looks like a total miss for me personally.
'Raees' - January 25th
Shah Rukh Khan is back with a big bang, in a role that audiences are hoping will be a risk worth taking. 'Raees' has been in development for almost 2 years now, and faced many obstacles to its release. After much careful analysis, the film is expected to do really well both critically and commercially and the trailer only builds on that hype even more.
'Kaabil' - January 25th
Hrithik Roshan's return to a more serious dramatic film after the debacle of 'Mohenjo Daro' is leaving audiences with either mixed feelings, or a complete indifference to his latest film. Teaming up with Sanjay Gupta, 'Kaabil' is expected to compete with 'Raees', and the makers aren't too thrilled with that. The concept and trailer itself feel very laughably bad, but it's an important film for both the star and director, as it could be very well be the final nail in their career's coffins.
