Probably one of the first films that seemingly acknowledge an aging Shah Rukh Khan came with 'Mohabbatein'. The movie saw the actor play more of a mentor role to the three romantic co-leads of the film, with no romantic interest of his own. A live one anyways. While the story did focus on Khan's character, the departure ended there, as wearing a pair of reading glasses paired with shoulder sweaters for the duration of the film seemed to be as method as Khan would get at the time.
