Not many people liked 'Chennai Express'. The overacting by both main leads and some very forced storylines caused many to consider this to be one of the worst films of the year. However, one cannot help notice that Shahrukh Khan played a role of a very terrible terrible person. Lying, cowardly, lack of ethics or morals are but a few of the characters traits of his role, which stayed consistent throughout the film. It was a departure for Khan and something that obviously didn't go down too well with mainstream audiences.
