Taking full advantage of his non threatening good looks, Shah Rukh Khan goes melancholy in the modern day remake of the classical Indian adaptation of 'Devdas'. While the film may not have seemed like a risk, for Khan to be in another historical so soon after the failure of 'Asoka', was a bold move. Especially given he ditches his usual image for that of an immature drunk who, quite honestly, often came off as obnoxious.
