'KHOON BHARI MAANG' (1988)

A story of how a meek and mild mannered wife and mother is wronged, and returns from beyond to seek her revenge against all who wronged her. It's the quintessential revenge story at a time where women characters were mere set dressing for male protagonists, in male dominated stories.

Considered to be Rekha's comeback film, 'Khoon Bhari Maang' was one of very few Bollywood movies from that decade that featured a female protagonist in a story, not about coming of age of concepts, but an out and out action entertainer.
