Varun Dhawan to star in Abhishek Varmans Shiddat?

Abhishek Varman, who last directed 2 States, is all set to explore yet another genre with his forthcoming release, tentatively titled Shiddat. And this time around, he will be roping in Gen Y star Varun Dhawan.

Though not much has been revealed about the film or its casting, we hear that it is a period drama. It is being said that the film in question will be set amidst the backdrop of India-Pakistan partition and will also have two male leads. Shiddat is said to be co-produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and Karan Johars Dharma Productions.

As of now, Varun Dhawan is looking forward to promoting the action packed Dishoom along with co-stars John Abraham and Jacqueline Fernandez. Rumours also have it that Varun has signed the Dhyan Chand biopic.
