Sunny Deol rubbishes rumours of elections

While he is known for his patriotic roles as he continues to fight against corruption and other social injustices in his films, buzz was that Sunny Deol wanted to do the same in real life by joining a political party. A picture posted by BJP party member Kailash Vijayvargiya of Sunny Deol meeting him went viral fuelling rumours that Sunny will be joining BJP.

However, considering the way the news went viral on social media and other websites, Sunny Deol decided to take to social media to deny the buzz. Sunny Deol tweeted, Not standing for any #Elections … for now busy with my son #KaranDeol’s launch film #PalPalDilKePaas.

Sunny Deol is currently on a hunt for a leading lady to feature opposite his son Karan Deol in his debut. The last time we heard, the actor-director was conducting auditions across North India to find a fresh face for female lead.

On the other hand, an actress who has indeed joined the BJP is none other than Rimi Sen. The actress is known for films like the Dhoom series and was also seen in Bigg Boss 9.
