Salman Khan is often accused of speaking before thinking. He did it again on Monday when at a media event he compared his wrestling scenes in Sultan to rape. As quoted in a section of the media Salman said, "When I used to walk out of the ring, after the shoot, I used to feel like a raped woman. I couldnt walk straight."

The National Commission Of Women has demanded an apology. Not surprisingly all the important names in the film industry chose not to comment on the issue. Bhai is beyond reproach in the entertainment industry.

One of Salmans closest friends on condition of anonymity said, "Anyone who knows Salman even vaguely knows he never disrespects women on or off screen. In making a point during the promotion of Sultan about how gruelling his wrestling regime was he drew an unfortunate rape analogy. However he immediately corrected himself."

But the damage was done. And Salmans father Salim Khan has stepped in to apologize for defend Salman on Twitter.

Says a well-known writer-director, "Its very sad that Salim Saab at 80-plus must keep jumping in to protect his sons reputation. Sunil Dutt Saab spent his entire life defending protecting and fighting for his son Sanjay Dutt."
