Rohit Roy signs three film deal with Sanjay Leela Bhansali

Rohit Roy who was last seen in the Hrithik Roshan starrer Kaabil that hit screens in January this year has now apparently signed a three film deal with none other than Sanjay Leela Bhansali. In fact we hear that Roy has been roped in by the filmmaker s production house to direct three films under their banner.

Confirming the same Rohit Roy, who has earlier directed the film Rice Plate, stated that he had received a call from Bhansali over a year ago saying that the Padmavati director had liked his work in Rice Plate. However, since at that time Roy didn t have a good script he took his time to develop one. Further talking about the three film deal, Rohit Roy adds that while he is excited to be directing his first full-length feature and that Bhansali himself zeroed in on two scripts from which one will be directed by Roy.

Later adding details on the said film that he will direct, Rohit Roy stated that the film will be a love story and that the casting for the same will begin in the next three months, with an expected release towards the end of 2017. When prodded whether he himself would feature in the film Roy added that though he wants to focus on directing, he would make an appearance a la Alfred Hitchcock.
