Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra to produce lyricist Irshad Kamils debut directorial

While he is busy with his own films, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra has now decided to give his friend his support for his debut directorial. Popular lyricist Irshad Kamil has been working on a script and now Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra has decided to produce it. The film has apparently been titled Saanjhi.

Claiming that every movie is unique in a way, Rakeysh expressed his desire to continue to produce good content for the industry. He further mentioned that he is also producing yet another film to be directed by Sanjay Khanduri about a soldier who lost his life in the Sino-Indian war. Mehra also claimed that the scripts of the two directors (Irshad and Sanjay) are far better than the ones he is making and is extremely envious of such beautiful stories.

As far as the casting is concerned, Rakeysh did not divulge any details of the same. As for his directorial ventures, the Rang De Basanti filmmaker is now gearing up for Mirzya starring Anil Kapoors son Harshvardhan and Saiyami Kher. The film is slated to release on May 13.
