Madhur Bhandarkar wraps up the shooting of Indu Sarkar

Readers may recall that we had reported about Madhur Bhandarkar s upcoming film Indu Sarkar being a period story set in the seventies. The latest update of the film is that, Madhur Bhandarkar has wrapped up the shooting of the film. For the uninitiated, Indu Sarkar happens to be a film about a stammering poetess who gains confidence in order to rebel against the system during Emergency which took place during 1975-77.

While Kirti Kulhari plays the titular role of Indu Sarkar , the other actors who feature alongwith her include Anupam Kher, Tota Roy Chowdhury, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Parvin Dabas, Sheeba Chaddha and Zakir Hussain. The film also has the veteran musician Bappi Lahiri singing a retro song, which has been composed by Anu Malik.
