Amitabh Bachchan speaks out in support of Udta Punjab

The Udta Punjab conflict between the film makers and the censor board seems to be getting uglier by the minute. After most of the industry has come out in support of the films release, we now hear that veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan has also joined them. In fact at a recently held press meet for his film Te3n, Bachchan stated that killing creativity can kill the soul of artists.

Responding to a question posed to him during the press meet Bachchan said, "I am not quite aware of what the issue is. I have been reading about it. All I can say is that dont try and kill creativity. If you kill creativity, you kill the soul and that is all that we have."

Further explaining his stance Bachchan added, "I know that there are rules and regulations... Thats something that the government has to decide. But as an artiste and a creative person, all I can say is that dont kill creativity."
