The Cast Of A Bollywood Adaptation Of ‘Game Of Thrones’ – Season 7 Edition

You’re probably all wondering why the hell Samwell Tarly is on a list of the Bollywood versions of, presumably, the most important ‘Game Of Thrones’ characters. Well, it’s because I believe that Sam is going to be blow the lid off of one of the biggest reveals in the entire series. (R + L = J) It almost happened on Season 7 Episode 5 ‘Eastwatch’, if only Sam had paid attention to Gilly instead of ranting about his own frustrations.

Sam is the usual hapless underdog sidekick character to Jon Snow introduced in Season 1, who has gone onto to his own sweet and endearing arc; finding a somewhat girlfriend, becoming an unlikely father figure and protector, to now learning to become a wealth of knowledge to make up for his lack of physical coordination. John Bradley plays Sam to perfection; usually quietly, sympathetically, but moments of lucidity give way to a more assertive and badass Sam. But very briefly.

The Bollywood version of Samwell Tarly would very obviously be Anand Tiwari.

Tiwari has perfected the same hapless supporting character role in films like ‘Detective Byomkesh Bakshy’ and ‘Go Goa Gone’. Actually, almost his entire career has been playing these types of roles, with very few exceptions. Tiwari is a strong character actor with a plethora of films under his belt, and his stature and personality fit the bill of Samwell Tarly almost too perfectly.
