Saqib Saleem as Theon Greyjoy
Theon Greyjoy starts out as a very interesting character in Season 1 of 'Game Of Thrones'. But he quickly devolves into one of the biggest dicks of the entire show. Which is ironic, given what ends up happening to him later on. You get what I mean by ironic? Is that the right use of the word 'ironic'? ... 'Cuz how he loses his penis... is what I'm saying.
Betraying his adopted family, Theon is worse than a villain because he started out as an ally, who then turned traitor. While show runners makes him teeter on the edge of redemption, sympathy for him is a lot harder to come by than it was for Sansa. We thought he was finally redeemed in Season 7, however, his dickish behaviour returns to the forefront in Season 7 Episode 2 'Stormborn'. I've written him off as a character I could give a crap about at this point. But they want us to, as he's one of the shows more significant supporting characters.
Alfie Allen plays Theon perfectly, with the right amount of pathetic-ness, repulsion and just someone you want to punch in the face, every single time he appears on-screen. Unlike the choice for Sansa, the Bollywood actor I think would be a perfect Theon, in no way invokes those same emotions. But I think Saqib Saleem is talented enough to be a Bollywood Theon, with the nuance and duality that comes with the character.
One of Bollywood rising and untapped talents Saleem has immense potential that is yet to be explored. In his very young career, he's shown ability to perform the nuances required of Theon. Saleem is charming but also has a quiet demeanour that can easily be mistaken for sleaziness, and has a boyish look to him that can be seen as sympathy-worthy.
