Huma Qureshi as Danaerys Targaeryn
Danaerys Targaeryn is the last remaining heir of the original kings of Westeros, (or so we think) and in many ways, the entire story of the series is all about her. Exiled from birth, growing up on the run, Danaerys has gone through a lot! And even that is an understatement. The meek and timid girl from Season 1 has evolved into a strong and fierce warrior, and every experience has brought her closer to reclaiming her birthright.
Sure, that journey is riddled with her making horrible choices based on her irritating and impulsive nature that makes you question why we're rooting for her in the first place. And sure, she could learn to listen to the people around her more often for wisdom instead of pulling out the 'dragons!' card every 30 seconds. But ultimately, she is the star of the show. Unfortunately.
Emilia Clarke plays Danaerys as petulantly as she does with immense grace. The actress can change gears from a vulnerable and lonely girl, to a fiercely betrayed daughter wanting to reclaim what is rightfully hers. And the Bollywood actress that can juggle all those elements is none other than Huma Qureshi.
Qureshi has exhibited all the qualities of Danerys in her young Bollywood career. The actress has given performances exercising flawless dramatic acting shops and maturity ('D-Day', 'Badlapur') but also ones that showcase her more delicate and graceful abilities. ('Gangs Of Wasseypur') But through all her performances, she's maintained this vibe of a kind of quiet strength in all her roles, which makes her the perfect Bollywood actor to portray the Mother of Dragons!
