'Game Of Thrones' is an international phenomenon that seems to transcend the typical TV Series fandom. Fans all over the world, from different walks of life, all rally around this innovative and intense adaptation of George R. R. Martin's written work.
The series is currently on its 7th Season, with everything set to end next year with Season 8. While definite spin offs are planned, it's difficult to say what will carry over and what won't. While a Bollywood adaptation of the series is a massive long shot, I've learned to never say never when it comes to Bollywood ripping off Hollywood material. There's even an entire podcast on the premise.
So let's take a look at how a Bollywood adaptation of 'Game Of Thrones' would be cast with Indian stars in the iconic roles.
Please note: While other such lists have been attempted, their choice of casting does not make any damn sense when they pair an actor like Shahid Kapoor as Jon Snow with Aditya Roy Kapoor as Robb Stark. Shahid looks immensely older than Aditya, while Robb & Jon are supposed to be similarly aged.
So this article casts actors in the roles, taking into account the characters' relationships, on-screen appearances with one another, as well as the actors' talents exhibited in Bollywood thus far.
There are also notable exceptions in this article, as some characters are difficult to cast in Bollywood, such as Peter Dinklage's Tyrion or Masie Williams' Arya', given the lack of exposure of Bollywood actors that are dwarves or young teenage girls. At least in the film industry.
