Kangna Ranaut‘s next release Simran is in news even before any creative of the film is out. Apurva Asrani the writer and editor of the film spoke his heart out in an interview in leading daily today where he presented his side of the story on how he wasn’t consulted or informed about the credit of co-writer being given to Kangna. Apurva spoke about how his long association with Hansal Mehta has hit a roadblock. The duo has collaborated on award winning and acclaimed films like Shahid and Aligarh to name a few.

The latest information that Bollywood Hungama has exclusively attained is that Apurva Asrani has been sacked as the editor of the film. As per our sources Apurva’s assistant was recently not allowed to enter the edit room of Simran. If this information is indeed correct then it is an extremely unethical way to treat a national award winning Editor. Apurva has been around for twenty years and carries enormous credibility and respect. When we tried to approach Apurva for a comment he wasn’t available.

Bollywood Hungama will keep you updated on this key story.
