Aditi Rao Hydari bagged her role in Padmavati courtesy Jaya Bachchan

The very lovely Aditi Rao Hydari is going places. After working with Mani Ratnam in the Tamil film Katru Veliyidai, she will now start work on Sanjay Leela Bhansali s Padmavati in Hindi, where she plays Ranveer Singh s wife.

It is interesting to note that Aditi got the part courtesy Jaya Bachchan.

Says a source, For a very long time, Jayaji felt Aditi had a huge potential. Her eyes are very deep sad and expressive. Usske chehre pe ek noor hai (there s a sparkle in her face), she told a friend. She went further and recommended him to Sanjay Leela Bhansali for Padmavati.

Sanjay, who has tremendous regard for Jaya Bachchan s opinion, summoned Aditi for the role of Ranveer s wife on Jaya s recommendation.
