Nil Battey Sannata declared tax free in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh

This weeks release Nil Battey Sannata, which stars Swara Bhaskar, Ratna Pathak, Pankaj Tripathi and Ria has been declared tax free in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The announcement was made by UPs Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav.

He was so moved with the film that he even tweeted about the film stating, "Touched by the story of Nil Battey Sannata, which was filmed in Agra. We have made the film tax free in UP". Meanwhile, the films director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari said that the film was a very relevant story which showed that age was no bar when it comes to pursuing your dreams. On the other hand, Swara Bhaskar added that she was very grateful and excited with the news that two state governments found the film worthy of being tax-free on day one, something that was very rare.
