Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor get basketball lessons from NBA India

Readers may recall that we had written about the beautiful Shraddha Kapoor being paired opposite the suave Arjun Kapoor in Half Girlfriend, thats based on Chetan Bhagats novel by the same name. We had also mentioned that basketball plays a vital role in the film.

As a step forward, the NBA India (National Basketball Association) has now come on board to partner with Half Girlfriend, in order to professionally train the lead actors to convincingly play the role of aspiring basketball players.

As a part of the training process, both, Shraddha Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor are practicing techniques like handling the ball, footwork, speed, agility and basic shooting. If that wasnt enough, the duo also studied a lot of NBA games and their players in order to learn their unique styles.

Half Girlfriends director Mohit Suri said that they were very excited to have the NBA on board with the film. He added that the trainers had been fantastic and extremely patient with both, Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor to warrant that they portray their characters with utmost perfection. Needless to say, that, both, Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor must be having a ball of a time whilst shooting for the film.

Directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Balaji Motion Pictures, Half Girlfriend will be shot extensively in Delhi, New York, and Bihar and is scheduled to release on April 28, 2017.
