Ram Gopal Varma announces Sarkar 3

In 2005, Ram Gopal Varma helmed Sarkar starring Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan and Kay Kay Menon which was greeted well by the critics and the audience. The actors won accolades for their impressive performances and Abhishek won several awards that year. The sequel Sarkar Raj which released in 2008 had a decent run and also starred Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

After eight years, Ram Gopal Varma has announced the third installment titled Sarkar 3 and will release the first look of the upcoming film on August 26. He also confirmed that Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan wont be featured in the third installment. He wrote, "Sarkar 3 first look will be launched on 26th August. Going by the story both Abhishek and Aishwarya will not be featuring in this segment. Scale of Sarkar 3 will be much larger and intense than the earlier two. Rest of the cast details will be soon announced."

Though RGV didnt announce whether the lead role will be reprised by Amitabh Bachchan or not, a report in a leading daily confirmed the actor and filmmaker will be reuniting for this film.

The plot of Sarkar 3 wont have any antagonist. There will be larger than life characters dealing with Sarkar traditions and dramatic events. RGV said that Sarkars distinctive look wont change, but given the complexity of the script, the visual style will change.
